The reality
of public humiliation
Have you ever tripped over in public? I have many times! I can say for the most part that after the humiliation (and sometimes pain) goes away, it can actually be quite a funny experience to look back on.
So what do most people do once they see you are alright? They laugh out loud, some do it quiet and discrete and others will screech like a hyena, so loud that anyone within at least a two mile radius can look over and see you on the ground.
In the spirit of all things publicly humiliating, I have decided to interview random people at work and on the streets of Brisbane, Australia to come up with an all time top ten list of the most embarrassing events that can and has happened in public. The following top ten list has been put together by myself, after a month long study:
The Top Ten List
10. Tripping over in public
9. Toilet paper stuck to foot/pants
8. Lipstick/Food stuck in teeth
7. Clothing/Shoes ripping/breaking in public
6. Kids throwing tantrums in public
5. Dropping items/contents of handbag on floor
4. Running into a pole/stationary objects
3. Waving at the wrong person
2. Being caught out with no money/wallet missing
1. Realizing you have trodden in dog poo!
Many of us use these day to day occurrences to write a comedy story, poem and even a play. If you feel the need to write a comedy story or need to start one, feel free to use any or all of the above list as a starting point.

Hello Katherine, you mentioned popular television shows like Good Times, Sanford and Son, and Happy Days. What about All in the Family? Archie Bunker was some piece of work.

Thanks for the suggestion, being in Australia I have no idea what these shows are, but I will be sure to look them up
Interesting stuff you put in there. It was a good idea to remind us comedy has been around forever
