Letter from the editor

There's excitement in the air around here!

Why?

Because this is the week when Mark & Barbara return to Indiana to live after living in Tennessee for almost 27 years--and their bird, Haley, will be living in Indiana for the first time ever!

Mark (the guy to whom I refer as my "adopted" kid brother and computer guru) and Barbara have been married since the evening of January 1, 1979, and they have one daughter named Karen Marie who turned 26 this summer and is studying to become an ambassador!

If you go here, you will learn the touching story of how Mark and I first met back in 1979...

If you go here, you'll find out about a "date" I had with his grandpa in the late summer of 1982...

Finally, if you go here, you'll be taken back to July 29, 1976 when Mark and his twin brother celebrated their 20th birthdays--one in Tennessee and the other in Indiana...

Anyway, in celebration of this special time of starting over, I've selected seven items that demonstrate different aspects of starting over when it comes to romance/love.

I hope that you enjoy them--and will be sure to tell the authors that you have!

Ask & Answer

August 27 will be when I'm next scheduled to do a newsletter, and, as you know, I like to plan my issues around themes.

How would you like to be part of the theme for the next issue--or should I say the triple-theme?

That's right, I'm going to make the August 27 issue one that works with three themes, and these themes will be based upon what I hear from you--that is, I'll pick out three of you to be theme-providers.

All you have to do is to tell me something special that's happening to you or somebody you know around August 27, and I'll be choosing three occasions to theme the newsletter around.

For instance, if somebody is going to be going to Paris and shares this with me in an email, I would make Paris (or whatever happens to be close if Paris isn't available) one of the three themes for the August 27 newsletter, if you're the winner.

Here's hoping to hear from at least three of you!
