I have decided to run a contest with this edition of the newsletter and will continue to do so with each subsequent issue I write, until further notice. With this issue, I will be the sole judge. Future issues may have guest judges, if so, that will be announced at the time the contest is announced. There will be prizes given out with each contest! Not every contest will be the same as the last. I hope many of you will take the time to enter. |

ATTENTION TO DETAILS merit badges were awarded to those who participated in last issue's activities and left commentary. The question posed was this:
WHAT DID THE NEWSLETTER AND WORD SEARCH HAVE IN COMMON???
sarahreedBoth the Newsletter and Word Search were about the contests and activities on WDC.
Steve adding writing to ntbk. They both had StoryMistress as one of the answers.
I did the Crossword and the Word Search. Finished the Word Search. Whoo! Whoo!
Checked out the 3 Word activity and left some entries.
Thanks for highlighting the activities and contests and let us know how the first contest within a contest went. I'd be curious to know how many were able to complete the crossword.
Copenator out!

For this particular newsletter, I've noticed that the contests and activity pages don't seem to move very quickly at all, anymore. Either people aren't hosting contests (which is very possible), or people aren't using the WdC pages available to advertise them. It might be good to put a little disclaimer in for all who read this newsletter - that they do exist.
I remember, back when I first joined, those pages would scroll through in three days. I have an activity that was put on there mid-July, and it's still about the middle of the page.
They just aren't being utilized.
Brooke Great NL! Wonderful idea and I wish you luck with engaging more readers. I did the crossword and the word search and the thing they have in common are they share the same answers. Great job and hope you get some wonderful feedback. ~ Brooke
