Change, it's inevitable. We all do it.

Change.. strange... mange... exchange... rearrange...
Let's see... we all do it, change. Life gets changed, exchanged, tangled. Is sometimes deranged, mangled, and almost always strangely rearranged no matter how hard we try to resist. It's the stuff of us. And for all those who are willing to embrace the "come what may," change is a very exciting prospect.
Change. Personally, I've been doing quite a bit these past couple years. A metamorphosis, I'd like to think. (Into what, I'm almost afraid to find out, but it's going to be great!) I've been in transit from one end of the USA to the other, traveling up and down, then over there, now over here, residing in the best, and not so best, of places usually about six months at a time. Currently I'm in the Tacoma area of great state of Washington and in the process of preparing to move north to lovely Whidbey Island. Yep, another change, but the same old me, changing in so many ways... a little older, and hopefully, a little wiser. Right now, I don't think this will be the last stop, for I am liking this odyssey no matter what! I suppose one could say, I'm finally doing what I want to do when I grow up. But part of this very unique adventure, I'll say the best part, is the change. It's the not knowing what's going to happen next that I like. I have no set plans as to which road I'll wander, albeit I fancy taking the one less traveled.
Life is fascinating... it's always changing, just go with the flow. Somehow, some way, though it may be hard to see at the time, it always works out for the best. It all rhymes.
I'm not advocating change, per se, I'm advocating embracing life. Of course it all changes. Kids grow up, loved ones come and go; we all experience great loss and great love. I guess I'm just saying it's okay to step outside your comfort zone, at least a little, and do something you've always wanted to do. Really, it's okay. Don't worry about the money, or how (like too many people I know), just decide to follow your dream--your passion, and somehow, if you make up your mind, it will happen. Whether it's skydiving, or learning to play the guitar, even if it's only getting library card, just follow your heart. Imagine all the possibilities! Imagine how good you'll feel.
As for me, I don't know where I'll be this time next year, but I do know moving at the beginning of November, like I did last year, sure screws up my NaNoWriMo chances. Oh well, there's always next year, and by gosh, I've got great stuff to write about. And isn't writing what we are all here for anyway?
Live your passion, people! Then write about it.
Peace and love to you all... and PLEASE, embrace the changes, you'll love yourself for it.

A few more "I Am" poems fluttered in for our consideration:
From Spirit Duchess
The I AM was a very enlightening experience. It is also the very first time I have written in response to an external prompt.
I AM
by Spirit Duchess
I am focused on the twist in my coils.
I wonder if I could survive long enough to know.
I hear birds singing in time with my moments.
I see her face laughing at me.
I want to rub my body away.
I am focused on the twist in my coils.
I pretend to be in lust.
I feel the urge to fall to my darkest sides.
I touch fur course and fine with each hand.
I worry that someone will know me.
I cry from some scream holed in my chest.
I am focused on the twist in my coils.
I understand that heart and mind are the same.
I say what is never heard.
I dream to fly free.
I try to smile like once came all day.
I hope to laugh at all that I pray.
I am focused on the twist in my coils.
Great job! Thank you for the awesome poem!!
Dave offers the following. Thank you, Dave!
Being severely allergic to the constriction of templates, I offer the following "I am" representations in my own format for your entertainment:

From jansand, this lovely piece...
NIGHT THOUGHTS
I do not sleep the long smooth sleeps of childhood now
Tight filled with wispy lights and gentle joys,
With black teeth dripping icy frights,
With colored flapping flying toys
And fields of copper glinting dragons
Lolling beneath purple suns
On downs of golden chest high grass
Which hang above a clear green sea
That foams at cliffs of tinted glass.
Still, some nights I launch myself from rooftops
Flying in a swift and silent glide
Above the tiny streets to land again and launch again
And feel the freedom and delight
Of soaring, floating through the night.
Mostly now I taste my sleeps in smaller bites.
I slide in short swift skirmishes
Between the long and lonely memories
And the desperations crystalized
On the velvet matrix of the night

Magelina is ready for the next great adventure. Yes, you can do it, Magelina!
I am Ready
I am creative and determined
I wonder what makes things work.
I hear the ticking, clanging, and bumping noises of things around me.
I hear the ideas I'm formulating buzzing around in my brain.
I see things and people working in unison.
I want to show the world what I (can do) and know.
I am creative and determined.
I pretend I'm working on experiments in a lavatory.
I feel the smooth surfaces of polished metals and finely sanded wood.
I worry that this will all be just a dream.
I cry knowing thinking of those who have gone before me.
I am creative and determined.
I understand that I will have to work hard to make my "dreams" come true.
I say "bring it on! I can do it!"
I dream that I'll get that white lavatory coat.
I'll try to makes things happen in my life.
I hope that I will be successful.
I am creative and determined.
