About This Newsletter

Poetry is often a reflection of the poets emotional state, metaphorically or symbolically written in verse. They create feelings and mood throughout their work by means of the language used, intern helping to create images and the structure of a certain phrase or stanza can help to leave a lasting impression of an idea or emotion. Despair and fear are displayed frequently through poetry.

Letter from the editor

First, and most important, come to grips with your feelings. You're with your loved one for a reason and you need to take the time to ask yourself why. And, when I say this, what I mean is you need to examine the specifics. What is it that attracts you most to them? What features do you think are the best? These things will make writing a poem to convey our feelings easier. Personalize the poem as much as possible. This is the one thing that will separate your poem from a generic greeting card. Rhyming helps but isn't always necessary.

A romantic poem can sometimes not fit the romance and nature specified structure but it will fit the feelings category, which is most often overlooked. The time and energy you invest in your poem will be well spent in the rewarding pleasure you'll get when you deliver your poem to your beloved. Knowing how to write romantic poems is not as difficult as it may seem.

Poetry is pretty much whatever you want to call a poem. Poetry isn’t about being judged on what others think is right. It's about how you feel about what you've written, and who you have written it for. Can it be improved? Sure, but it all boils down to what you think of the work, and how it makes you feel. Just use your heart to do the writing, and add a few extra touches to have a memorable romantic work of art that will be cherished for all time.
