I'm sure, even if you've only been at Writing.com for a very short time, that there are images around the site, used in various ways. There are cNotes, personal photographs of members, friends, family and pets.

Some other common uses are:

         *Bullet* Signatures Used on emails, forum posts, journals, etc.

         *Bullet* Photo prompts in contests

         *Bullet* Headings and/or illustrations for static items, forums, folders, or just about anything really.

These images are for use by Upgraded + members.

You may have also seen animated images, like the delightful Cubby Author Icon uses in her issues of the Noticing Newbies Newsletter. Such as:

** Image ID #1020167 Unavailable **

These types of images are only usable by Premium + members.

Images are linked by using the image tag ~ {image:1020167}

But what I really want to mention today are the types of images that everyone on the site can use.

Great points about being involved in groups. I think your ideas are right on target. I find it tough to be in a group when there is nothing happening!
Meg: Writes Daily in 2006 Author Icon

         Thank you for sharing your viewpoint. Groups are about communicatnig. They don't work very well if no one, or only a few, actively participate.

This is great advice for anyone, Newbie and "Oldie" alike. Thanks for a great read!
