Guess what?! Now that the WDC celebrations are over, you think you get to relax a bit, hide in a corner somewhere, read a book or fifteen? No. Guess again!
We're half way through September already and I want to make sure you're aware of next month and what's coming. You've got less than two weeks to get a basic plot ready, characters to scribble down and make sure that you've got enough time to do some serious plotting away. October on WDC is best known for the following activity:
Aren't you excited?! It seems as if I'm rushing you a bit here, but there's a lot to do to get ready. When November arrives, you want to be ready for writing your novel. NanoPrep is the perfect place to get you started and give you a push in the right direction.
In the meantime, don't forget to enter other contests and activities. You still deserve to have some fun.
If you're not into writing at the moment - Heaven forbid such a bad day! - then consider running a contest for other writers to enjoy. It doesn't have to be anything big. Basic rules with a bit of excitement and good prizes should catch a few good writers to enter. Reading the entries might inspire your muse to give writing another chance.
When it comes to prizes - which is always a major concern - consider asking those who run raffles or activities to raise gift points, to add your contest as a recipient.
In case you're feeling inspired already, I highly suggest you take a look at:
You can never go wrong with music and writing, especially when combining those two! I've waited for a long time for this contest to open up again. You can't tell me that music doesn't inspire you to write. So, go ahead and choose a good album and go for it! Let the words from the song create a story you've thought so many times about writing.
'Til next time!
~ Gaby
