Letter from the editor

I’d like to share some delicious inspiration with you. Here are several movies where food is used to create a romantic background for our couples falling in love.

Lady & The Tramp: Who can forget the adorable scene of Lady and the Tramp sharing spaghetti? It’s heartwarming!
The Back up Plan: There’s a botched kiss, spilled wine and messy disaster which only makes for a swoon worthy moment as our couple falls in love.

Beauty & The Beast: Belle realizes she’s falling in love with Beast as he slurps on his porridge. That’s true love!

Pretty Woman: Richard Gere’s character serves Julia Robert’s Vivian strawberries and champagne. He tried to teach her the art of fine dining. It’s very amusing, especially as it’s a scene which brings the characters closer together.

Kate & Leopold: Leopold tries to romance Kate with an old fashioned dinner filled with ambiance and fantastic food. What lady doesn’t appreciate that heartwarming gesture?

Good Will Hunting: Ordinary characters played by Matt Damon and Minnie Driver share a scene that goes from jealously to admiration when they share a kiss over a pickle.

The Vow: Channing Tatum takes his wife who has memory loss to their favorite restaurant to share some chocolate. Totally sweet!

Love Actually: Colin Firth’s character proposes to a pretty waitress in a restaurant.

Like Water For Chocolate: Tita a fantastic cook who uses food to be enticing, sensual, and appealing.

Chocolat: Set in a rural French village, a chocolat maker uses chocolate to make people fall under her spell.
A Walk in the Clouds: Paul and Victoria fall in love as they share food and new experiences.

Question for you: What’s your favorite holiday food?

Wherever the holidays find you, enjoy every delicious bite! See you in the new year. If there are any particular topics you’d like for me to discuss in 2017, let me know.

Feedback from my Romance/Love Newsletter DTD: 9 NOV 2016:

My Love for my husband lasted fifty two years, but there was a rift during out courtship that I thought it would never be mended and still I never gave up hoping.I loved Donald and when he broke off our relationship I was devastated. I had been courting him eighteen months and we lived in d ifferent towns so we never run into each other during our time apart. I prayed so hard for him to return to me.I missed being with him and I knew his walk from a distance when we were meeting on a date. and one day out of the blue a letter arrived asking for my brothers address, and this was a start even if it was only by corospondence. I knew within a short time we would be back in a relationship. We were married fiftu two years when he died and my love for him still continues..

Thank you for sharing your story.
