The Scariest Things

Sometimes the scariest things happen in normal situations to very normal people. It's the unexpected, the unbelievable, the unforeseen, the dropping of the other shoe. Sometimes the monster lives in your house. Sometimes next door. They are everywhere and everything that at first glance looks normal, but then it jumps out and grabs you around the throat and stills your thundering heart. It's the sinister step-father, the creepy neighbor, the new best friend that no one else likes. I think we've all met them, and the alarms go off in our heads and say, 'This person isn't quite right.'

These things make us uncomfortable because people aren't supposed to be like this. So you ask yourself, 'Why do they behave this way?'

Therein lies the fodder for your next horror tale. Who are these people is the question you must answer.

There's nothing scarier than realizing you just checked into a motel run by Norman Bates. Sleep tight.

Until next time,

A new sig from 'undocked'

"Great twists always deepen, never cheapen, readers’ investment in the story." Great line! The two epic twists that immediately popped into my head as I read this newsletter were the films The Usual Suspects (I actually jumped off the couch and said, "What the [redacted]") and The Sixth Sense. Fantastic twisted endings, both! *Thumbsup*

Regarding: "Invalid ItemOpen in new Window.
This one woke me up last night about 3:30 am. I sat and thought about it not sure I wanted to get out of bed as the covers were so warm. I finally got up and started to write, about 20 minutes later "It's Just A Box" was finished.
Thank you for your consideration, I am new here and not sure if I am submitting it correctly and apologize if I have done so incorrectly.
