Do you remember how you were as a child? Most idiot memories from childhood tend to fade away over the course of time. We may only remember those either dear to us or the ones that made a difference. Perhaps a bad experience that changed you?
Do you remember some of your thoughts and dreams? As adults, our thought and dreams change, but through life, it’s what made us who we are today.
As years go by, children change, especially when surrounded by all this technology. I’ve watched many disrespecting their parent, acting insolent and being plain rude. Back in the day - and man, that makes me feel old - you weren’t allowed to talk back let alone be disrespectful or you’ll get an earful or a spanking. Now, that’s frowned upon and patents are afraid of even teaching their kids manners. It’s sad really.
However, those changes in behavior have a negative outcome on the new generations. Do you ever eavesdrop on kids and listen to their conversations between each other? It can be scary how judgemental a ten year old girl can be. In a way, they seem to be losing the main thing that makes us us which is empathy.
It might sound exaggerated or far fetched but I’ll let you be the judge. In today’s society there are more and more people who don’t see anything wrong with their behavior or treatment of others. There is definitely plenty material for a mystery writer.
Til next time!
