Hi readers! I am happy to be a guest editor for this week. There are so many cool activities and contests at WDC!
Today I would like to focus on Surveys and Polls!
There are no stupid questions.
“If you want the answer—ask the question.”
~Lorii Myers
“I follow and cultivate my own curiosity. I think curiosity is one of the top two or three human characteristics. It's something that I really like about myself. [...] I want to understand stuff! I want to understand people!"
~ Hank Green
“Question everything, even the question mark, that shepherd's crook floating in the air above that small round rock.
If you - stubbornly - still wish to be unhappy,
maybe you can grasp it.”
~ Dick Allen, Zen Master Poems

Do you have a burning question to ask people? Are you on a fact finding mission for fun or for your writing?
Do you want to find others who may be interested in your topic or group?
Do you know you can ASK and invite feedback by creating a Survey or a Poll right here at WDC?
If you have an upgraded account, you click on CREATE New Item, simply choose Poll, or Survey Forum and fill out the item.
Once you submit and open your item, you will use the MANAGE tab to create your survey questions.
A Poll can be created by any member. You have one question and up to 9 possible responses.
There are many polls on a variety of serious, funny, interesting, and wierd themes from authors who are curious or who may need data for research or writing.
Click on the tab for BROWSE by Type to find them...there are pages and pages!
Easy to create and fun to do!
Surveys are created for many reasons and have the intent of gathering some kind of information.
For example, our site contests merely want you to enter your contest entry in a private way.
There is still time to get your entry into this one!
Groups may use surveys as application to join or to get to know your interests or as order forms.
eg. "Membership Application" or "Request to Join the Hookers of WDC!" and "FoF Gift Certificate 'Gift Wrap'"
The Quill Award Nomination Survey seeks nominations for its categories. eg. "Quill Nomination Form 2024"
Put this one on your favourites for when you come across a worthy entry!
So have some fun right now and perhaps support others in their quests by answering their poll or survey.
