You're the Designated Winner!
This whole month of November, there is a good number of writers here on the site that have tied up all of their energy into hammering out one first draft. Only one!
While they are laboring on that, you have 30 days to have the site pretty much to yourself. Go check out all of those contests I link to in the Editor's Picks. You should find several with prompts that you'll want to write for. And ... (except for the Writer's Cramp) you get plenty of time to rewrite. No need to only work on a first draft.
Let it rip in those contests! And win them all!
Would you like to collect the above trinket? Take part in this challenge that goes until November 24, 2019:
Post a current and active contest to the contest page. It doesn't have to be yours, but it can't already be on the page.
Or, post a current and active activity to the activity page. Again, it doesn't have to be yours, but it can't already be on the page.
To collect the trinket, you must reply to this newsletter through the "Send a comment or question to the editor!" section.
In recent months, these two pages had fallen victim to everyone using the Newsfeed to advertise their contests and activities. In order for all of us to find the most things to participate in, we should make an effort to have them easily found.

My last Contest & Activities newsletter "Finding Pieces of a Puzzle" had a good amount of replies. And all of those who used the official Contests or Activities pages to advertise one of their items was able to collect this trinket.

Anything?
eyestar~* wrote: This is awesome. I have often thought the same thing when I check those pages to pass current contests on to my group... so many posted are on hiatus or done for the season. Really good call to remind folks. I have not a contest running at the moment but I do always post it there as some folks do not catch all of the fun on newsfeed. Good job and great incentive!
Good to know that you will post your activities and contests. We need those pages to be up to date.

Great that you used the page now. Make sure to check it every now and then and see if it's still on the page.

Posting in October counts! Thank you for using the pages!
Lilli 🧿 ☕ wrote: I didn't realize there was a separate thread just for activities! Saving these links for future reference! Oh, and I added my "Invalid Item" to the Writing Contests Page! Thank you!
Now you know. Be sure to post any auction, raffle or other activity on the correct page. |
