Jerry looked up and saw God.
And, God said, “Do you believe?”
“How can I when Your children die of hunger.”
God again looked at Jerry and spoke the words,
“Do you believe?”
“How can I when babies are dying of AIDS?”
God shook His head and uttered the words,
“Do you believe?”
“How can I when people are massacred in senseless wars?”
Jerry looked at the Lord and said,
“Lord talk to me! Tell me why people are killed! Tell me why there is so much pain and fighting in the world! Why won’t you help us Lord? Why won’t you tell us what to do?”
The Lord spoke sadly and said,
“How can I when you don’t believe?”
