This is about our society and the future for our children. Can we change the world?
The world in which we live,
where the truth is veiled in empty words,
and promises remain unfulfilled.
Where dreams are reminders of failure,
and life and death are completely intertwined.
Can a new life ever truly grow,
in a world such as the one we know?
Where God is said to be only a myth,
and too many sorrows are drowned in a fifth.
Yet the pain reemerges, much greater each time.
There is no easy way to escape the despair,
yes it is true, life isn't fair.

Ruled by a government corrupted since birth,
which cares nothing for the people it hurts.
Seeking not peace but ultimate power,
blind to the destruction it causes each hour.
Bringing death to the ones it was called to protect,
not taking a second to truly reflect.
Merely calling the men to fight and to die,
for a cause that was never anything more than a lie.

In our schools the teachers are but puppets on strings,
teaching our children meaningless things.
Not truly preparing them for the future they'll face,
rather planting seeds in their minds which lead only to pain.
So what does the future now hold for these?
Upon them fall the burdens we leave when we die,
since when we had the chance we chose to hide
instead of confronting the corruption on all sides.
Will they fall and react in the same ways as us?
Give in to the ever-present, overwhelming fear?
Or will they stand tall and confront all that comes,
refusing to acknowledge defeat in any form?
Conforming not to the world we left behind,
instead overthrowing the government, starting anew,
showing us all what it means to be true.
Allowing their children to experience real peace,
yet letting them know that the struggle won't cease.
For this is a cause worth the full hunt,
in its purest form, not merely a front.
A cause that was lost in our country's youth,
the endless pursuit of justice and truth.
