a rant and a bunch of questions
My brain is busting, i can't see straight, i can't breath right. My head is so full that i can't make up my mind. How can you live with confusion all around you? How can you live with hatred all around you? My hope is broken and all thoughts of a normal existence are banished. How can i produce when gimme is all i hear? Is all hope lost? Will my sanity come back? Have you ever lived for someone else? have you ever done it in vain? Is a good deed worth your life? Have you ever felt like you're the only one that knows what's going on? And if you have how do you get everyone else to see it?
Spite is that a human emotion? Do we do to others as we'd have done to us, and fuck ourselves in the end? How far is patience? What's the grounds for love? Why is it harder to do what's right and good for humanity than it is to play along? DO WE SPEAK A DEAD LANGUAGE? why must the phone always ring more when you're upset than when you are happy? Why do people see honesty as a personal attack? Why when you need help no one's around but when you are fine everyone's up your ass? in the footprints poem it says "that when the man saw only one set of footprints that that is when god carried him". How do we not know that the man was carrying god?
Why do they bring back old shit like bellbottoms, flattops, disco, horror flicks? If it was cool before it'll be cool again. "You glorify the past when the future dries up" sung by bono on rattle and hum it speaks volumes for this decade i think. Has all of the excitement been sucked out of life to where no one looks to the future anymore? Is this all i to question? I think not. But at this time i feel to puke. Is this loneliness a cancer? is rock n roll divine intervention? I love you but...
but do you love me, or is this the ultimate game? I can't stand for this life anymore. That sounds familiar. Is this really how it is now? That's the final question.
