Vampires have always fascinated me. For other vampire lovers...
I can’t quite decide just why I am entranced,
Is it the coolness of his voice, the throaty growl
Hidden inside of each spoken word….
Forever echoing in my mind?

Is it the dark vastness of his eyes?
I wrap into myself and fall forever,
Deeper and deeper…
Until his soul has devoured my being.

Is it the warm slickness; salty and thick,
The blood that escapes the corners of his lips.
Years upon years of life and memories
Oozed out upon placid skin unmarred by the ages.

Is it the freedom in being simply his?
His webs of control a safety net
From which I want no escape.
Each gesture a simple release of desire.

Perhaps it is all of these, and something more.
The gutteral force of beautiful cruelty,
So erotic and sensual in it’s rawest form.
Nothing wasted, nothing used without measure.

Life is but a chance to realize our own deaths,
And death is simply the awakening into true form.
So then, what better way to ponder existence,
Than to travel amongst both realms at once?

It’s the hunger for chaos; the lack of meaning is peaceful.
To close your human eyes and see the world
For what it truly is. To lower the blinders,
And open yourself to all of what you are.

In taking the step into the unknown
You become that which others fear the most; immortal.
In all of your pain and sufferings, all of your joys and love.
Floating into the void where things are simply truth
And time and space exist only as long-gone restraints.

I welcome the moment of darkness embraced.
The darkness being so wrongly named.
It is the warmth, the comfort…. The feeling of home,
And we have been driven from it in our lackluster haste.

Reach for the light they say, never knowing where it is they go.
Walking blindly into a world that only seperates and destroys;
The one that was, shatters and fragments into the many that are lost.
Close your eyes my friends, and come back to your beginning.
