My second poem. please review, especially the people who did for my last poem. thanks. |
Hatred Hatred is a virus, it runs through us all, Publicized by wars and the devils roll call, Tears fill the skies, Looks of rage fill in eyes, Hatred. Hatred courses veins as the second plane crashes, Remembering those men - left behind in the ashes, How much more can mankind endure? What other tricks can hatred conjure? Hatred. Worth explaining in one thousand words, Yet left to the hells, like bread to the birds, Has taken the lives of ten million men, Only to rise, and take more again, Hatred. Let bullets, let arrows, let missles fly, While more victims sit, and ponder why? Like so many wolve's calls to the moon, When will hatred strike again? And if so, how soon? All at once starting with a single man's greed, Then spreading tenfold like a poisonous mustard seed, Many a tale of passion, trust, and love, All fly away like a migrating dove. Hatred. When all true love turns into vile lust, And many a lost person indulge themselves in false trust, The destruction of all peaceful, loyal, and just, Will take humankind, And let it turn to dust. C.T.
