Amriel, Elf Princess by Amriel CHAPTER ONE ~ HOOTER The space~ship explodes into consciousness in a midst of light~green fire...images of (scared) Elven faces...a planet surface...barren....desert...rocks. Upon impact, her spirit is released upward. It flies up, up, and seems to become one with the clouds then dissipates. For a time, all is darkness. Then her face is seen up in the skirl. Hooter is staring up at such, at a panoply of archtypes (twenty~three, to be precise). One of such stands out. It is an Elf Princess. Hooter has just been awake for three~and~a~half weeks. It is February 1995 in Medford, Oregon in the West Coast of the United States of America. The world has just borne silent~witness to a psychic/spiritual war that was religious in nature, yet seemed somehow "artificial" or "computer~ran" and yet also occurring in what may be called "consciousness" (a computer Armageddon program run by God?). "Clink/Clonk Clink/Clonk" the sound effects are not registering on Hooter...the images in the ground, the faces...the sound of swords clanking (in a computer?)...the good and the evil...the blue and the red...the spirits from the ground and in the clouds fighting, fighting...it had been Armageddon? One of the Armageddons? "How often does this happen?" Hooter just ignores the voice...it was as though a computer that was "external?" were going through the motions, running a psychic/spiritual war. Hooter keeps ignoring these explanations, also seeming to be part of the "external" "happening". When everything had been accomplished for the "good" side, Hooter had barely been able to survive the "war". Had it not been for absolute perfection, Hooter would not have made it. Even still, at the end, there was a "stalemate". Something needed to be resolved, that life could continue. Just the blue and red, good and evil...it was a dualism that was intolerably simple. Something needed to be done, so remembering fantasy novels, Hooter created an ideal "eternal" third~party alternative. A light green team. One that was inherently "good", yet was not the blue team. Remembering that the pyramids were the only one (still standing) of the seven ancient wonders of the world helped Hooter justify the creation of this third team. Not beyond good and evil, but rather "good" without claiming to be. The green symbolizing the plants, the environmentalist causes Hooter believed in. As a result of this choice, "God?" or whatever was running the program, allowed Hooter the chance to be rewarlived, by offering a choice of twenty~three archetypes to switch places with. Hooter looked up through the window, dirty and smudged with fingerprints (it was a playing~field, being used during the "war" to record the results of separate "battles" [arguments] each represented by symbols that Hooter and the program used, now just a car~windshield, smudged beyond imagining) to see the twenty~three faces like illuminated clouds (but not to Hooter, who was able to "see" more just then) in the peripheral, but no...only one...the beautiful girl...the elf~maiden from the fantasy~novels enjoyed all throughout Hooter's twenty~three years of youth. Hooter chooses the elf~maiden and the switch takes place before it happens, somehow... CHAPTER TWO ~ AMRIEL MAKES A SPLINKY The King and Queen are worried about the Princess..."She is the youngest of the children! I was not sure that she would survive the journey!" the Queen exclaims. "Nor I, my dear" the King admits. Amriel can hear them talking from the next room of the palace, and can understand fully everything the couple (her parents) are saying. "She needs to work with the others!" the King proclaims. "She needs an education!" The Queen returns. "Very well!" the King acquiesces. Amriel is not sure she would like to do either of these things. The King of the Elves kisses the Queen and exits. The Queen enters the room, crying..."Amriel! Please go out and play...I am tired..." Amriel goes outside, where there are two elf~children playing with a log (rolling it). "Hey, Amriel!" the children cry. One is Elrien, and has silky black hair. The other is Ciriel, a "relatively~younger" girl with light cinnamon~brown hair, similar to Amriel's, though not as light or as yellow~blond. "Hi!" Amriel exclaims. "We're rolling a log to practice for the work!" the children cry. Amriel is sad and confused, and does not understand why. She helps the children roll the log. After a while, the King appears from beyond the trees, from the NorthWest direction (where the new place is being built for the elves to do "work"). "Run along, Amriel! Come, children!" the King says. Elrien and Ciriel leave with the King and Amriel starts off behind the palace in an Easterly direction, where she is met by a mysterious new grove, an area empty (like a field) but surrounlived by trees. On the far East side of the area is an opening, but she does not venture through it to the woods beyond, just standing by a tree she is comfortable around (least afraid of) looking at the empty field. After two hours just staring at the field and the space beyond, Amriel returns inside the palace, where her mother is resting, gazing into a crystal~screen in her bed~chamber. Amriel smiles. She is glad that her mother, the Queen, does not have to "work". The other Elves take care of their family in turn for the leadership that they provide. It was her father's space~ship that enabled them all to make the journey across the gulf of eternity to this new locale. Though all of the elves are afraid, they are also filled with hope. It was the best planet they could find to replace their home~world, destroyed after too many years of mis~use and overpopulation. A world, desert~like and barren, but with trees and forest~like as well. Not as wet as their previous planet, but strangely, this seems to make it even better, Amriel believes...That evening is uneventful, it is the second day of Amriel's life, the first she can remember on the planet. She does not remember the crash or anything after that...she remembers the journey through space and the fear the elves experienced collectively. She remembers waking~up on this day in the palace, the way she has been, the memories tell her, though she does not remember any other day before this one. Just the ship and the horror of not being sure if the elves would make it to the new land and waking up a Princess, in the palace, the best her father and the other elves who could help could build so far. Now her father lately has been working with the others not involved in food~gathering to build a large~complex, the "work~place". Amriel is afraid of the "work~place" but misses the company of the other children. She begins to harbor a secret~fear of this place. Every day is about the same: Amriel watches the children going off to the “work~place” while she goes out behind the palace and stares at the open field, standing by the tree she is least afraid of. She returns at times inside the palace, where her mother tells her things she must learn from books. One day, she follows the children and sees the large, round structure her father and the other elves are building. The place is scary to her, and inspiring also. She does not wish to see the inside of the place, so she returns back to the palace. Out back, she travels this time to the next area beyond. Again, there is an open field with trees surrounding and yet another open area beyond. In this area is a small pool that she stares into. She stands for a while in the space she is least afraid of, then returns to talk with her mother. She never tells the Queen anything of where she goes or what she does, and her mother never asks. At times, she studies things from books, and often, her mother is asleep or communicating with the other elves through some technology, or staring at the crystal~screen, that Amriel cannot see anything in. The next day, the elves go off to the “work~place” and Amriel goes once again to the back of the palace, then once again to the further area. There, she once again stands in the place she is least afraid of, but this time, something else is happening. As she stands there a pressure seems to build up that she cannot understand, where the fear on all sides closes in and presses in until her eyes begin to water profusely and a great pain pushes against her from all directions at once. Out of her eyes is squeezed a tiny sparkle of light that falls into her open right hand. She returns to the palace and shows her mother, the Queen. “It is a SPLINKY” Amriel explains, “I made it with my LUFF” CHAPTER THREE ~ THE BONFIRES Every night, when the elves return from food~gathering or "the work~place", they gather around a large fire lit by the King. They eat the strange crystalline substance mined from the caves (that enabled the elves to find the planet suitable for life in the first place) and tell tales of work, other lands they dream about, and what the rest of the planet must be like. The King reminds the elves that they must not venture far from the palace, as it is not sure what lies beyond their encampment. Amriel is holding a splinky in her hand, that she shows the other elf~children. "Hey, look what Amriel has! What is it Amriel?" they ask. "It is a splinky" Amriel replies. "What does it do?" the children wonder aloud. Amriel is confused. "I can make them," she responds. "Cool. Neat!" the children are glad. For a space, Amriel seems to have a purpose. She alone can make a splinky, and it seems to inspire the others, but the King and Queen have noticed and are worried. "our daughter has abilities un~like the others. We hope this will be of benefit to her. What should we do?" For weeks Amriel makes a splinky and holds it in her hand, walking around the bon~fire at night, showing it to the other elves. It becomes her. The others understand her as "the child who brings the tiny light" and eventually "the Splinky~Princess". The name seems to stick, though she is mostly understood as Amriel. Although she is Princess, to the others she is merely Amriel, the youngest of the elves, the one who does not remember "the ordeal ['the before~times']" One day, as she is behind the palace, standing in the immeidate~field, the tree she is least afraid of talks to her. "Hey!" the tree says, and Amriel is surprised. Noone [sic] has yet communicated with the planet, as they are all busy. Amriel turns and faces the tree, who then relates a story to the Elf~maiden Princess. "I have been watching over you and guarding you the entire time" the tree says. "I saw you and watched you gazing at this world with so much love and respect. The others do not understand as you do. I would never have talked with them, but you are relatively~similar. I saw your splinky, Princess, and saw that you made it with your luff. You may find that there are things your splinkies can do. Try it tonight at the bonfire." The tree smiles at Amriel and she continues to the bonfire area. Later, when the others are there while the stories are being told, Amriel is considering what the tree had told her. She wishes at the splinky to do something and it flies up into the night~time skirl and the others are silent with wonder as they gaze at the behavior of the tiny sparkle~of~light. It goes up and past the hexagonal orange moon and bounces off of a star, causing more splinkies to be knocked from such. "Hey! You made more splinkies come off!" the children cry, "do it again!" Amriel focuses her right~eye, using her luff, and another splinky comes out, though she can tell it is all she has to make them with for now. Once again, she wishes it upward, where it bounces off another star, causing more splinkies to be knocked~loose (from such). The elves are glad and Amriel is happy. She returns the next day to the tree and kisses it. CHAPTER FOUR ~ An Education For the Princess After a few years, the school is finished and Amriel attends to further educate herself...for some reason, everything being taught is already familiar to her and although the King and Queen and teachers are worried about her being bored at the educational~institution, this is far from the case as she is afraid. Afraid of the others? Not quite. But afraid of what? Also, it is exciting to her that it is not challenging, again, the opposite of what the others fear. She most enjoys reading books of the future and past of the planet they had come from. She does not remember any of it, but it is, when she is reading of it, as though she can picture somehow being a part of life in that place at that time. One day is particularly bright, and she falls in love with another girl. The other elf is laughing and Amriel can see the brightness of her eyes burning into her own, saying "don't ever forget me". The next day, the girl is not there, and the teachers explain that she has moved away, but Amriel understands this cannot be the case? Perhaps not...still...where could she have gone? Years later, she has dreams where the girl is desperately trying to contact her or to push her way back through into the elf~planet, her eyes still crying out for Amriel: "please do not forget me...I live in your dreams and you must remember me until there is a way you can bring me back." Amriel will never forget the girl's eyes and the way they burn to be remembered with a desperate furiosity. Amriel is the only one who ever loved her enough to remember her eyes and they way they looked, and that is why the spirit of the elf~girl cries to Amriel most of all. When a way is found to connect the dream~world with the elf~planet, Amriel can use this memory to bring the girl back and the two will be friends in love forever, dancing and laughing over fields of what are mis~construed as weeds by those who could never understand love and summer and what surely are more than flowers representing such, if they could only see...She thinks of summer and of the girl, right in the spot where her eyes could never see, at all times. One could say this is the thing that Amriel does the most, the not remembering of the girl. Though she appears to be performing tasks, important or otherwise, all she ever does in her life is not remember the girl... CHAPTER FIVE ~ SPLINKY THE FAIRY PRINCESS HORSE "On Splinky, ON!" Amriel cries with relief. Though the snow is blinding and whipping like furious flakes all about her and the fairy~princess horse, she and Splinky continue. It is long since she has considered the coldness or any feature of what is transpiring about her, for she can tell that she must not do so. She must not register what is happening about, for she understands that it is mere illusion, something she has learned from her parents, the King and Queen. The journey should not have been made, Amriel understands. Still, what had to be accomplished has been (at least), though it is of small comfort to Amriel now. Some supplies were gathered. Things she needs to wash her hair (and keep it soft and "splinky"). Things to wash the rest of herself as well, were gathered from the secret~places in the woods that she understands (and a hand~ful of other elves who are conscious in a similar~way). Splinky is being psychically~trained by Amriel's consciousness as she rides onward through the blinding blizzard. Splinky understands that Amriel is right about everything being an illusion and just so long as they both ignore the cold and flurry, it will not exist for them, until they can make it back to the palace. "Oh! The PALACE!" Amriel does not speak aloud, "My Princess~sanctuary!". She begins to drift into a dream of what she will envision on the crystal~screen in her bed~chamber that evening IF she can only make it back. "Why did I do this?" the voice that she ignores tries to tell her she is thinking, but she understands this voice does not exist and almost more promptly than the "voice" occurs, it is ignored. "Nothing is against me!" the other voice counters (the one that would be hers, if she were to have responlived, and yet, good girl that she is, she does not...) Another voice she ignores says something to the effect that "the closer I get to the palace, the slower time seems" the voice tries to change into something that she will accept, but she clamps her consciousness tight against them, understanding they are mere translations of the same nonsense. "The faster you go the longer it will take" "You will never get there". Eventually, though there is no feature of the land~scape to take her from these non~extant re~translations, the intelligence cannot come~up with any more word~combinations, and the voices stop. "Almost there! Good GIRL SPLINKY!" She cries. Splinky does not actually ignore her, Amriel understands, for there is a love that passes betwixt the pair; or, as Amriel explains it, "a LUFF" CHAPTER SIX ~THE PLACE THAT DOES NOT EXIST There is a place that does not exist, the other elves tell Amriel, a place where there is not a small room not tall enough to stand in. A place where there is no psychic~telephone system to contact people from a fiery~inferno switch~board, the faces of the others coming out of the textures in the wall. There is no white room with a single red button, saying "please push for help", yet when one pushes it, nothing happens. There is no such place where one is desperate and nearly~”relatively~alive”, where beautiful girls watch through a tiny glass window as one is helpless and dehydrated and laugh at their plight, having the ability to help, yet would rather watch and chuckle, as though the agony and torment were deserved. This place never existed, they can assure her. There never was such a place, and Amriel smiles (for she understands that this is true as well...) CHAPTER SEVEN ~ AN ELEGIRLT OF DOMESTICITY She forgot once again to have the Palace ready, and when the visitors arrive, she is asleep...she awakes two hours later to understand that it is too late. In tears, she readies the palace for noone [sic]...in sympathy for the Princess, the wheels of time reverse themselves as she is on her knees scrubbing the floors of the palace, washing the crystal, and cleansing the dirt from everything. The faster she labors, the more time reverses for the Princess, until it is just before she should have awoken and the guests arrive, right on time. It is a birthday~party for one of the elf~children, just as it is every day, for the same child. Amriel is the only one who cares so much for the elf~children is not a true statement. It is quite the opposite, it is the others who care most of all, but not to be mis~taken. Amriel cares VERY much. The palace is still un~finished, though at this point in relative~time (as always) there are approximately six~eleven billion rooms in the palace, the gardens that once surrounlived the palace, now enclosed with its walls. When it was complete, there were eleven billion rooms inside. The more she completes her domestic rituals, the more the sympathetic wheels of the relative~time dynamo reverse themselves, bringing her back to whatever time her consciousness is least afraid of in the context of her life in the relative~time continuum theory. CHAPTER EIGHT ~ BOGGELLYBOGGELLYBOGGELLYLAND "It's all boggelly~boggelly~boggelly!" Amriel screams in an involuntary manner. She has never head this terminology before, it just seems appropriate to her. It hearkens back to a memory of birds that seem to exist in her consciousness whenever things are "crazy" (like a bunch of colored~blocks just sort of hap~hazardly strewn about with no apparent reason). How did she get here? The voice tells her that she, in fact understands the reason why she is here, though in truth, she does not. "Did the voice tell her that also? There was a potential vagueness! Clean it up!" (More voices to be ignored...) were the voices un~important? The other elves had said so, and she chooses to believe them. Still, one of the other things the voices say is that they are significant, and there is a quality to them that tends to allow her efficacy if she so chooses to submit to their veracity, yet she does not believe in them, and not (and this is INCRED~ibly important) because she in any way fights (as she would never do this). The "boggelly~boggelly~boggelly people" seem to be like friends to her, helping her, entertaining her. They are not always easy to ignore. She wants to more than sympathize for their plight, as though they were extant; though again, she understands that they are not (and she would never, good girl as she is, doubt what the other elves have told her). They take the form of shapes, like globs of ectoplasm that swirl through the skirl, creating, "with her help?" (Ignore that! the voices do not exist! she cries) "Images" (it says, no...it does not exist [the voice itself]) that she wants to love. She wants to scream "we LUFF you boggelllyboggellyboggelly people! It's not your fault!" Yet she cannot...as a good girl she understands that the boggellyboggellyboggelly people (as well as all of boggellyboggellyboggellyland ITSELF) do not exist. "Didn't the elves say the same of our own existence?" Amriel wonders, "Is this not just ANOTHER dream?" And to further rhetoricize, "and if I awake, still another?" Yet she has been there... CHAPTER NINE ~ BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL " 'I'm not the blue, I'm not the red, I'm the green!' Amriel says over and over again to herself, the monitors say" is a voice she ignores, though she can understand what it is telling her. She is one of the elves; and as such, represents the green. The blue "energy" is good, and protects us from the red "energy" ("relative non~power" that is "relatively~creative")...she can perceive (the voice she ignores says/asks ["'?'"] "Purposefully?") "These" ("bundles of 'energy'") as SPLINKIES of another type. Hers are the "true" splinkies, however. The splinkies always existed, but she first called them that, or was it GOD? She is STILL unsure...God makes the blue ones...she is pretty sure of that...hers are light green...always... CHAPTER TEN ~ THE BLUE WHALE Behind the orange hexagonal moon is a blue whale who is crying..."I created all of this!" the blue whale cries. The whale is floating in space in an area just behind the moon, where the whale is always invisible to the planet Arda, but barely, for the large moon is only slightly bigger than the whale "itself". Amriel is floating in space in front of one of the whale's eyes and is about the same size as such. Amriel cannot respond, as she is enraptured and entranced and can only listen as the whale speaks on. A gigantic tear~drop falls out of the whale's blue eye as it continues to speak. "I am so sorry, Amriel!" the whale cries, "I wanted this to be the perfect place for you and all of the Elves...I did the best I could! WHAAAAAA!" "It's OK," Amriel tries to console the blue~whale, "it's not your fault! WE LUFF IT! You did the best you could!" "Amriel! Amriel! wake~up! It is time for school!" the voice of the Queen seems to cry from beyond...Amriel looks up to see her mother standing over her bed. The voices that she ignores as they happen say "this is another dream" "that was NOT a dream" "would you like to choose one or the other to be TRUE?" as she jumps up and rushes to the crystal~table for her morning SPLINKIES. She eats her splinkies and rushes to brush her teeth and get dressed; [sic?] and, like a flash, is off to school... CHAPTER ELEVEN ~ THE ROCK~DRAGON Amriel and Splinky are riding through the woods when what do you suppose, but the Great Splinky shines in such a way as to illuminate something previously viewn as a rock~formation but now is SHOWN to Amriel to BE an ACTUAL ROCK~DRAGON. The way the Great Splinky shines on objects may illuminate various aspects at various times, perhaps according to where one is in the "place" in one's existence, it seems to the Princess now...the rock~dragon's huge eye looks right at Amriel and communicates a sense of great power. It is as if it is saying to her "If you ever need me, I will rise up out from this state of seeming~slumber to help you". Something seems to shoot out of her eye and "place" the dragon on a strand made of semi~invisible material and lock such onto a stretchy~cord extant only within a "level" Amriel has access~to. Later, in the next few weeks, Amriel sees a dragon made of ectoplasm (that looks to others who may be able to view such as a "holo~gram" or "heavenucination" so as to fool them) from a child~hood vision seen on her mother's crystal~screen, a dragon made of a pile of leaves ("relatively~freshly fallen"), and a shrubbery~dragon, all with eyes that move and follow Amriel and wink or whatever conveys that they are in fact there to aid her, whenever necessary. The visions of the various dragons lasts only for a period of approximately slightly less than three weeks (in relative~time?), then stops, leaving the Princess with a sense that God could make a dragon out of anything near~by, if necessary. CHAPTER TWELVE ~ THE SPIDERS' SECRET As Amriel lays [sic] helpless (and also helplessly) in the dungeon, she looks up to see on the wall a spider, spinning a web. Amriel grows strangely dizzy (she did not touch the spider, merely gazes upon such). The forms in the stretching web become faces... CHAPTER THIRTEEN ~ THE RE~CURRING DREAM at times a "dream? (“but a post~hypnotic~suggestion or relative~state of consciousness”)" where one is NOT dreaming, but when in a dream "that seems" ("they" "say?") as a dream, the planet Arda is seen so clearly by the Princess to be an egg~cell, suspenlived within the womb of outer~space. The snakes are so clearly spermatoza~zoan. She (Amriel) figures it out and with help from the splinkies and the orange elves on the moon is able to shoot the sticky~material from her right eye to propel herself upward over a volcanic~opening in the surface and drop herself in. She plunges head~first into the center of the planet, fertilizing such, then awakens to her mother telling her it is time to go to school. "Was I re~incarnated?", the Elf~Maiden Princess wonders to herself with relief. When she tells the Queen her mother about the re~curring dream, her mother reminds her that there are no such things as volcanoes. Her father is not there at the time. CHAPTER FOURTEEN ~ THE PAINTING WINKS BACK after about two days, the boggely~boggely~boggely begins to surround the Princess as she lay helplessly prone. In a painting across the room in the palace, an elf is clearly seen to be running across such, through shrubberies, stopping to turn around and wink at the Princess, then continue to the edge of the canvas, vanishing into the land~scape beyond. The boggely~boggley~boggley swirls, as it always does, like blobs of clear ectoplasm, causing the invisible shields it creates over the Princess's perception to pop on~and~off~then~on and "loosen" such that in intervals betwixt standard perception, movement within the still~lives can be plainly~perceived. Some of the characters taunt and tease the Princess, offering to play with her. "How can I reach them?" Amriel cries. The figures so obviously have actuality and consciousness and extancy and can communicate through movement and symbolism and seem to be in everything. She notices later as she walks about, the images in the patterns of wood, the way the wood comes together, the curves suggesting forms that resemble the elves and some resemble HER. "Is this a way of recording us and our lives?" the Princess wonders. Voices trapped within the porosity of girly materials scream out... CHAPTER FIFTEEN ~ THE HAUNTED PALACE "Ooh!" Amriel cried in an exclamation of surprise, wonder and relief. Yes, our little Princess was QUITE afraid. The children...reminding her so much of herself. "And yet!" she mused "I can only say that they indeed appear to represent something other than "myself"?...but WAIT! There is no "I" in team..." "And time is relative" the voice of Albert Einstein echoed throughout the cosmos themselves, "so therefore who could be said to BE the children?" "Whose children?" the Princess cried. "The children of GOD" a voice answered, though not seemingly from beyond, as the non~extant voice not helping the narrator (as psychic~abilities have "relative extancy" NO, ABSOLUTE NON~EXTANCY she further replied to the verbal narrator though she may have been third or second in the panoply of non~extant narrational functionality~representation theories). The ghosts of such seen reflected in the windows of the palace that night, and yet when one looks in the area reflected...nothing...“Thanks, Albert Einstein!” The Princess said as a tear fell in a non~relative way... CHAPTER SIXTEEN ~ MINING THE SPLINKIES Amriel's little "splinkies" became so popular that the elves began to refer to the crystalline food~substance they mined from the caves utilising the very self~same nomenclature. One day Amriel asked and received permission from her father to follow the miners to understand what splinky~mining is all about. She was given enough supply of the splinkies for breakfast that she could make the journey (what to her might have taken three~days otherwise). The elves seem to shoot to the caves as though time bent to their perception. Once there, she was more~than~a~little afraid, though she scarce understood how that could possibly be. Ciriel herself (though not normally one of the miners [themselves]) accompanied and introduced the Princess Amriel to the locality. Little Amry entered the cave and was be~dazzled by the brilliance of the sparkle that the splinkies emanated in a possessed~form (and yet "re~leased") en masse. "Ooh!" The Princess cried in an exclamation of relief and PURE WONDER. Though she had heard stories, they themselves could scarce have prepared our little Princess for the actual experience of viewing the food~stuffs themselves in a conglomerated~format, if~you~will, "as~it~were". "Why with all of these..." and shall you understand what? Amriel could not even speak (and to anyone who has a familiarity with her, that would be construable as representing the conceptualization of an act thrice~wonderful). CHAPTER SEVENTEEN ~ THE RAGGEDY~RAGGEDY~RAGGEDY LUFF The Luff is seen outside the windows of the haunted palace, running across the grass in tattered~fragment~pieces, shooting into her consciousness like a patchwork~cliche. "This is the way things actually look" the voice Amriel ignores says. It (the non~extant psychic~voice and non~seemingly includent force) seems to wish to control the vision some~what, only enough to suggest holding it "herself" as the voice she ignores once again tells her that it is so that she can be blamed for the vision. She understands (good~girl that she is) that nothing is out to get her, and to not to listen to the psychic~voices, as there are no such things; and hence, the Princess' behavior...and yet...so enraptured she is by the vision... CHAPTER EIGHTEEN ~ THE VARIOUS INCLUDENT NONSOLENCE "But it was the way I said it..." The Princess cries... CHAPTER NINETEEN ~ SHE DREAMS OF BEING A FAIRY~PRINCESS at times, Amriel gazes across placid pools in marshy~territories...a tear falls at times into such...this does not add to the total~volume of moisture contained therein as there is an equal amount of evaporation taking place in relative~time that compensates for the tears that fall into said bodies~of~moisture..."ooh!" the Princess exclaims, "that I were a fairy~princess!"...Amriel sighs...her visions of flight, borne aloft upon gossamer propulsionary~artifices smashed into the nearly~frozen ambience created by "actuality" itself..."but alas!", she cries once more as her perception allows the Great Splinky to illuminate her most~likely sympathetic~response~activators, "I am only an Elf Princess!"...and though the others she is not aware are watching take her sarcastically in her paranoid~perspective, there is a third~side where both sides are correct...they niced not sarcasm, but something that has the same effect, but called by a positive name...but she was being sincere... CHAPTER TWENTY ~ THE OTHER ELF PRINCESSES There is Amaraliellia (AM' uh RAY'hl lee AY'' lee~uh), and Ciriel, who dresses very pretty. Sometimes the King takes off her King's robe and becomes a Princess as well. Sometimes, Amriel is all alone..."I'm the worst Elf Princess ever..." Amriel cries... CHAPTER TWENTY~ONE ~ PRINCESS AMRIEL AND PRINCESS AMARELIELLIA PLAY WITH DOLLS Pricess Amareliellia is Amriel's other~best friend (besides Ciriel [and her mother ((the Queen ((except when she takes off her Queen robe and becomes a Princess like the others)))]). Sometimes the Princesses play with dolls. This is Princess Amareliellia's favorite thing to do and Amriel likes it almost just as much. Amareliellia's dolls are very important to her and she treasures them "high~ly". Her parents helped her make some dolls and now she can create her own... CHAPTER TWENTY~THREE ~ IT'S ABOUT THE LUFF THE LUFF 'E LUFF ELUFF ELF It's not about the words...it's about THE LUFF...it's not about the food...it's about the LUFF...all the other things are important...but it's about the LUFF...the other things are LUFF..."I'm confused!" The Princess cries. "No you're not!" LUFF CRIES "It's about the LUFF!" and the Princess smiles... CHAPTER TWENTY~FOUR ~ IN THE GARDEN OF THE GHOST~FLOWERS "SPLINKIES!" Amriel cries in an exclamation of relief, "some of the other~elves must have left~these!" The Princess picks~up a small~pile of splinkies as she walks~along the forest~trail. Focusing her LUFF, green~fire shoots light~ly from her right~eye, that causes the splinkies to melt. She is then able to draw the melted green~fire inward, to herself. All of a sudden everything blinks white, then blinks again, black. It stays in the black~window and she is in a level of actuality two~levels of seperation from the one she found the splinkies in (her home world, Arda, the planet of the elves). She is in the haunted~palace now, but it is dark. She looks out the window that is yellowish with a white~gleam that is frighteningly~clear~ish (as well). Too quick to notice the gleam's (frightening) idiosyncracies, the Princess' gaze moves to a location in the garden~beyond. The shrubberies are animals, life~forms in~themselves, as~it~were.. In~other~words, the Princess sees them in a "relatively~similar way". There are two shrubberey~people ("the shrubbery~shrubbery~shrubberies") each moving~about and shooting~messages about the actions of all of the elves and their actions ("gossiping") to one another in a net~work all~over the world. "I have neffer seen them do this!" the Princess says in wonder. This strange perception is all of a sudden startled into a fast~growing black fear as the WORLD~SNAKE stretches across the equator of the world moving with the accuracy~and~move~girlts of a computer, heading right~toward the Princess as though it were to plunge right into~her. She has never seen a snake before, but the computer that is not claiming to be her conscious~ness that lives in the walls of the haunted~palace says things that she ignores about "buried sub~conscious archetypes and mythologies". She holds~on rather than to choose flying into the mega~giant~black~snake. Actuality flips~back twice the "relatively~correct~way" and she is temporarily suspenlived~eternally (but she forces everything she has to make actuality flip~back four~times, and her chances of success are as much as people never ask about~this) into a world of night~mares for the Princess where everything is yellow and pungently~stinky and all that can be perceived is a semi~conglomeration of about a thousand windows, all trying to give an impression of the entirety "in themselves". She is back in bed, in the second~world, it seems, but perhaps~not. More~likely she is in her own~world; but now it is night, for the world~snake and the talking shrubberies are gone, to be replaced by a flying that takes her once~again through two actuality~flips, this time to a nice place, a glowing~garden. The flowers "are and are~not actualy~there". They glow with a light~pastel~flourescence, she notices first the ghostly~blues, yet there are others that flicker as the perception seems "don't notice this! [or this]" to be connected? to the perceived in a way that is also very~scary. These others are pink mostly, but first they were glowing~light~green, until the perception was moved either by the Princess or wherever she ACTUALLY~is controlling this robot facsimile (as from another planet or "actuality") that seems in its connection with the "perceived" to be somewhat~responsible (the voice she ignores says) for the "flicker", or "relative~stablility" the hue the ghost~flowers project to the "vision?" In this world there exists a sympathy, for one~can see a strange~fragile~love in the visual remnants of the floral~phenomena. "We are the spirits of all the plants there ever~were" the Princess is told, in what is not actually~speech, but is ALSO not her (as the voice tells her~it~is). CHAPTER TWENTY~SEVEN ~ THE ACTIONS THE SPLINKIES PERFORM One of the things that the splinkies do is protect the elves' eyes from psychic attacks. When the black parts are covered with psychic~film, a mote cannot be inserted to compromise her innocence. The splinky, furthermore flies in an arc (first counter~clock~wise, then back~again clock~wise), traversing a round~a~bout course from round the front right to the rear right, but not all the way around, reflecting non~extant psychic~material. CHAPTER THIRTY~FOUR ~ THE ORANGE ELVES ON THE MOON Amriel is considering the SPLINKIES, and an idea comes...she focuses her right~eye at the hexagonal moon...it can be seen orbiting Arda every even~ing..."it is more of a three~dimensional polygon than a hexagon is what THEY would say!" Amriel exclaims to herself with excitement and relief. It has mirrored~sides, each representing the hexagon, bordered by thick wood, and none of the elves understand anything about it yet. She builds up the LUFF and shoots a splinky out of her eye at such. When it hits the moon, it becomes a sticky~strand and she pushes from inside the eye as she allows the back~wards "force" to propel her (actually it is more like she just "lets go" of gravity and the stickiness of the splinky [because she focused on such in this way with her intentions (what she nices) upwards all the way to the surface. "WOW! I am the first Elf to visit the moon!" she exclaims. As she traverses the mirrored plains that stretch forever and ever, eventually, she comes across a wooden~border. The wood is thick and seems to grow that way, straight, forming perfect borders along the hexagonal pieces (that themselves seem perfect). All of a sudden, Orange Elves pop out of a hole hidden under the base of the wood. "SELF~ISH," Chalkey cries. "FEEL" Chauncy replies. "My name is Amriel" the Princess says. "Princess!" Percy exclaims and all of a sudden Amriel can see thousands of the Elves, all dressed in little orange suits of felt with orange belts made of poly~vinyl and orange felt caps with orange tassles dangling from the ends of such all laughing insanely "PRINCESS! HA HA HA!" all the Orange Elves seem to say simulataneously. "SELF~ISH" Chalkey cries and all of the Elves are silent. "My name is Amriel" the Princess says. "And I am indeed the Princess of the Elves. How did you come to understand this, I wonder?" Amriel says with surprise. "FEEL" Bildy says and the other Elves begin to vibrate and move in a strange circular~fashion. "It is as though the words keep them going!" Amriel exclaims to herself, "as though the singular word each chooses has the effect of 'pushing a secret~button' that seems to rile them all up as a group, allowing them to perform a specfic~action pre~determined by the selection of a corresponding sepecific terminology" "SELF~ISH" Chalkey cries. All of the Orange Elves start to cry as they are laughing. "FEEL" Bildy says. They are surrounding Amriel with what it seems in~be~tween love and fear as a collective response to her presence. CHAPTER FOURTY~ONE ~ A RECOGNIZABLE IMAGE OF HER NEW~WORLD "This is the planet before there WAS a planet" GOD said. Amriel says nothing because she is afraid. "I could neffer make a planet!" Amriel says next. Now that the former place is gone, the other elves remember it not, and believe that Amriel does not remember it. Strangely, or perhaps ironically, she does remember it: even more than the ones who lived there. The flashes that she saw are closer to her memory than the world she currently inhabits. She stares at it, then quickly turns toward the ocean, where she stares intensely at~such; trying fiercely to grab an image that is recognizable of her still~new world... CHAPTER FOURTY~THREE ~ THE FOIL SPEAKS There is a metallic rock~like cluster, pounlived by the orange elves on the moon until it is as smooth as crystal. One time Amriel was holding a piece of this in relative~time, when it began to "speak" to her. The "foil" was being held by her Princessness and seemed to communicate quickly through the various images shown in the metallic folds and crinkles (and the light and shadows facilitating this communication). It enabled her to imagine her own herstory, as it were, facilitating a kind of "story~board" wherein, the spaces created by the folds and crinkles could represent characters in a novel, in an "actuality", and she could (as if from afar) view the shapes (characters) as they would actually interact in her dream~novel, being communicated to her as quickly as imaginable through the symbols created by the folds and crinkles in a kind of communication that seemed of a higher (or at least? relatively~higher?) order. Flinging the metallic~sheet back and forth, yet keeping it steady in her hand, allowing destiny and light and shadow to shoot the symbols created in the folds into her perception, telling a lightning~quick story to her consciousness, that she remembers later, in times where she is able to re~count (and have the transitory ability to reach a destination facilitant to such actions) what interactions between characters, ambient artifices, and other ideas communicable through symbols are able to be re~called and put, in turn, into the language of the elves (itself an example of the same type of idea [symbolic~communication] [though it ((granted)) has been used so often ((the medium of symbolic communicatory~exchange)) that it is not often called such] |
