Nothing. Why is there even a word for it? |
There is nothing in this world that is so undescribable as nothing. It occurred to me late last night that everything has a meaning, except, well, you might even have guessed it by now - nothing. Thank God we even have a word for it. Without a word for it, it would simply not be and still be at the same time. By assigning a word to it we make it something, because we can simply not live without nothing. Nothing is an empty space, but still it's more. Say, for instance, that I would have written this text without any spaces at all. The text would probably still be readable, and my hardest critics would still complain about it to the same "mum didn't love you enough"-degree, but it would be a lot harder to read, and so I have thereby justified the use of nothing between some of the letters. Nearly nothing is what my pay check says each month. It tells me I have not been productive enough this past month. So the closer to nothing I get, the more meals will consist of cold beans. Nothing indeed has an effect, and is thereby a cause. Can something be caused by nothing? Well, I have deduced that it can. |
