The Answer to the Past

STORY



It was the summer of 2256 when they discovered the answer to the past. It had been brought to the entire
world from a doomed seven year old who had died 249 years previously.

Jake and Pilar were on their annual trek from one side of the world to the other but to their disappointment,
as they crossed the second largest plain in the continent of, well I can’t remember which particular continent
it was exactly, but anyway as they crossed the second largest plain in THAT continent, they realised that
they had been there before.  In fact, about 5 days earlier.  So (and it took Jake a little while to absorb this
fact) they had rather pointlessly spent the last 5 days going nowhere.  But I digress.  It was in the process of
trekking the world that particular year that the answer to the past became known to them, and through them,
to all mankind.  But to understand the answer to the past we have to go back a few years.
