A poem about someone found with great rejoice, and lost with surprising pain.
Summer went by

lessons well learned,
my roots went deep
Searching light weight to carry.

So unexpected you came,
your power the same
My credulous credibility you would marry.

Stripped of my leaves,
ripped of my roots,
EVERY BRANCH BROKEN

but one.

Swiftly uprooted,
parts left to rot
Lifted to the heavens,
in unconsciouss bliss.

Autumn will not be forgot

Left for dead,
in a mountainside steep
In this rocky bed,
my roots will dig deep

Let the winter put me to sleep

Sooner than later,
your journey will end
outside and awoken.
too late to amend,

Come fall your eyes shall open.

NOW you can see,
it's my humble goodbye.
Down there before you,
red autumn leaves lie.
