Appreciation

Appreciate what you have in this life and know that it is only
by God's blessing that you have it. This place is not like any place
I have ever imagined, yet here I am praising Him in this place. I wake
to pray for those around me who share this physical experience and
for those back home. My eyes are often squinted because the brightness
of the day is new to me. So imagine for a moment how glorious the
Light of Lord is!

There is something to be said when looking at a child here and
seeing the conditions they live in. I have seen our own American
children and some of the poor conditions they live in and there truly is
no comparison. Bottomline, children here have it very, very bad.
There is pain in their eyes and if you can imagine the dirtiest child
you have ever seen...multiply that by 100. They live in Mud
Huts...dirt engulfs everyone and everything. But know that in the midst
of this, the Lord blesses us ALL by sending us to provide medical
attention and even food. I say us ALL because, we are blessed to be a
blessing to others.

Appreciate each other in this life and know that it is only by
God's blessing that you have one another. What a joy it would be if
people appreciated each other as if they were too far away to be
touched. To have a longing for the person next to you as if you
anxiously wait for their words in a letter. I believe that is how He
wants us to be with one another.

Finally, I would say appreciate every smile you see. And know
that the smile you give can shine light into that persons cloudy day.

Appreciate the Lord with Praise and Thanksgiving!!!
