Once more my heart is broken
Again the hurt extreme
I gave to her my questing soul
She cast away my dream

My future it lays shattered
Upon the floor in pain
No hope now springs eternal
For nothing does remain

So I must now forsake Love
For me it will not shine
Emptiness and darkness
Around me all the time

Encased in clear gold Amber
Protected, safe, secure
Too bruised to risk adventure
Withdrawn, can it endure

Oh I can't wear it proudly
No place for it to rest
A symbol to eternity
That I have failed my quest.
