Dear Mystic:

People read poetry to find truths within themselves, others, and the world around them. The poem, “Reawaken to the Sun,” is about how the Sun can be transformative and illuminating to the human soul, where the Sun can cleanse just as easily as it can remind us of the evils that lurk within us.

By training, I am a student of human nature. I have a B.A. in anthropology and observe people in their environment on a holistic level. My poetry ties into this. As I listen and observe people, I take in their story and write poetry that relates to the heart and soul of the individual. I have been writing poetry for twenty eight years since I first fell in love with the magical realm only this form of writing can create. I have had my poetry published in numerous poetry journals and in a bi-monthly newsletter distributed to over 3,000 people. Two of my poems, Never Denied and Never Again, have been awarded by my peers.
