Seasonal Symphony

The snow falls with a gentle sigh.
Its music is a soft goodbye
whispered on a scale descending.
Nature's song is never-ending.

The tempo picks up in rebirth
with the blossoming of the earth
warmed by the sun, now ascending.
Nature's song is never-ending.

In concordance, a joyous flow,
life continues, in crescendo,
though fallow times are impending.
Nature's song is never-ending.

Spiraling down, the notes cascade
like fading echoes o'er the glade,
gently, toward a final rending.
Nature's song is never-ending.

In harmony, the different parts
continue, and as each one starts,
others fade in quiet blending.
Nature's song is never-ending.

Form: A Kyrielle is a French form of rhyming poetry written in quatrains (a stanza consisting of 4 lines), and each quatrain contains a repeating line or phrase as a refrain (usually appearing as the last line of each stanza). Each line within the poem consists of only eight syllables. There is no limit to the number of stanzas a Kyrielle may have, but three is considered the accepted minimum. The rhyme pattern is completely up to the poet.
