A GAME OF QUESTIONS By: Maricon A. Atubang If all we hope for is to laugh, Would we ever tell what is tough? If all we want is a perfect dance, Would we ever learn to take a chance? If we only search for gold and richness, Would we ever find true happiness? If we are always afraid to take the test, Would we ever try our best? If all we do is manipulate others, Would we ever find loyal brothers? If we do not know how to bend, Would we ever have good friends? If all we know is to receive, Would we ever learn how to give? If we never stood for what is right, Would we ever learn how to fight? If we are never contended of what we have, Would we ever discover love? If we always make a stop, Would we ever reach the top? If we always hesitate to act, Would we ever move a rock? If we always feel ashamed, Would we ever win the game? If we do not have the faith, Would we ever try to wait? If we never made a try, Would we ever learn to fly? If we never made effort to ask, Would we understand the task? If we never take time to listen, Would we realize what we’ve missin’? If we only reflect on what is happening, Then Life would start a new beginning, For this game have lot of surprises, And all these things are just its spices. |
