Don't trust mythical creatures |
What a beautiful day! Green grass and clover all over the place. When Joe approached his trap, he heard the loud cursing. "Hey! Guard your tongue!" he shouted. There it was: a living leprechaun, his classmates were right when they told him how to set up the trap. "Oh! A young boy! Sorry about that, I got trapped in this. Please help me out" "No problem!" Joe smiled whimsically, "As soon as you've paid me." "Paid you? I don't have any money!" "I'm not talking about money. You are supposed to grant me a wish!" "A wish? Who told you that I can do that?" "You are a leprechaun, aren't you?" "Ok, you recognized my outfit; well done boy. But leprechauns can't grant wishes. Where did you get that? From Wikipedia?" "Err, you know the Internet?" "Sure I know the Internet. We don't live behind the times. And we can't grant wishes!" "But everybody knows you can. I caught you, to be released you must grant me a wish." "Sorry boy, we can't do that any more. Let's assume I could, what would it be?" "See, there is that red-haired little girl in my class. I like her but she ignores me completely. I wish she would fall in love with me". "Ok, boy" the leprechaun whispered "I'm not supposed to tell you that, because official we can't grant wishes any longer. But if you release me, I'll promise that I'll solve this problem for you". "Deal?" "Deal!" When he came back to his classmates, he had to tell them about his experience. Even the red-haired girl came to listen. After he had finished his story, Mike's new shirt caught his attention. It's color went perfectly with his schoolbag's and Mike looked so attractive in his outfit.... |
