Mother rushing to pick her child up in time inspite of all odds.
Rushing back from work to pick up Little Jamie

Wondering, now in traffic, when would that ever be

Free traffic I see and now I'm free to flee

Not to exceed the speed limit, sings my head to me

But then how would Little Jamie's eyes at the moment be

Swollen, full of flowing tears or red as bites of bee

And just then heavens start to pull a joke on me

Lightning spread across the sky, oh what then could that be

And quickly as a stitch in time thunder follows, see!!

Like shining little sparkles the rain comes flowing free

Oh my dear, my Little Jamie, how loud her cries could be

'Bearly a thing can I see' my eyes are telling me

It's pouring quite very heavily oh my dear goodness me

School gate at the very last how could my Jamie be

A fleet of cars and few parents, my very eyes see

The steps I took, I took boldly, to ask about the spree

Oh and then and just in time the end of spree I see

And there is Little Jamie, just smiling back at me

Oh it's children's picnic day, oh how forgetful me
