I asked them "Why?"
"Because," they said,
         their voices raised in angry song,
"we are right and they are wrong!"

I asked her "Why?"
"Because," she said,
         her mask then fell to show the cost,
"all is wrong and I am lost."

I asked him "Why?"
"Because," he said,
         his eyes now shone with inner light,
"it was lost but now set right."
