perchance to dream

Besides the folks just riding their coattails promoting mischief, there are protesters who can explain in exhaustive detail why they're doing what they're doing. but they don't get the air time--that goes to the criminals amongst them. if we point and laugh at this demonstration, what's an example of one we won't? it appears that any display of social unrest anywhere else is shown in a dramatic, noble light. We may enjoy a higher standard of living, but we have as much corruption and favoritism as developing countries like Sudan and Syria. It's concealed under a bureaucratic banner and politically correct verbiage that zones us out quicker than a Kardashian acceptance speech for best sex tape. There's no greener pastures here, or anywhere. The grass is dying everywhere. You and I have the last seedlings; plant them where they'll grow roots, become tall and elegant statues, eventually swallowing us in its shadow. Stoic and graceful long after we're gone, it extends its olive branch to others seeking a foundation.
