Chapter One New Life

Prologue

A
tall, slender, blue-eyed, redheaded, woman sat down on her couch. Her
tight black dress hugged her body elegantly as she stared at the snow
falling in an unrecognizable pattern. Her hair tumbled loosely in its
natural, wavy curls of unbound flames, hugged, and unknowingly
comforted the woman. Ghostly white-blue eyes flashed with grief,
trying to understand what went wrong, she was never supposed to be
here, on a day of such importance and happiness.

watched those cold,
frozen, flakes dance around, right outside her window, mocking her
about their happiness and how perfect yet, different each one was in
its own way. Questions and quarrels tore at her mind, making her numb
as she sat, dumbfounded at her situation. What was she supposed to do
now? In a few short months and years everything tumbled, and fell
from her grasp, as she lost it all. Kae's friends, family, and even
lover were now somewhere she couldn't reach. Where should she have
stopped her quest? Where had she gone wrong in it all? Mostly, where
had it started, really? I'll have to tell you from the beginning.
