when i read the news ,i was startled ...i ran into this |
| Rapes happen with" women consent".this was the statement of a samajwadi party leader.He said rapes happen when women mutually agree to get raped.it was a total shock to me.i never imagined we can have such mindblowing theories about rapes .the people who are meant for making the country safe women and implementing laws for same,themselves feel women find their benifit in getting raped, so probably 'they give consent' as he said.if they do not understand why do rapes occur,how can they help to resolvethe issue.i think the whole party has a different ideology about Rape as earlier another party leader has said that "Boys do 'mistakes' ,this does not mean you hang them".so overall what i could frame from this is that their idea must be something like this...Rapes are 'mistakes' done by 'boys' which is done under consent of "women".(who may be a 4 year old girl,wonder a small girl giving consent seeing her own benefit which god knows is what.)then probably consent must be given for the pain and mental harassment which women 'enjoy'.they enjoy being under the patriarchal society,they enjoy those awful looks and yes those filthy comments. women 'enjoy'.DO THEY REALLY??? then we also have some ministers saying rapes are small issues.no to them that's not even a issuebecause they can't sympathise with the sufferer as the sufferer was not related to them we are living in a country where rulers think rapes are small issues,they are mistakes. small they are because they were never taken serious so that they have become so common that now we ourselves don't feel unusual when people say its a small issue and mistakes are continued because they are seen as a child's mistake and not a severe crime.if people from whom we would expect reforms dont even understand the problems there is no hope they can bring any change.they dont know the cause they don't know the effect or may be they are turning a blind eye because they want to continue to rule women.the major root cause must be perspective of such men towards women.For such boys education is important .Sympathy is more important. |
