A discussion between me and a love heart sweet
My Angel
Great Guy

'Hey Great Guy, how’s your day been?'
'Great thanks, how would you like a weekend away?'
'That would be amazing. Are the children coming?'
'I hadn’t thought about the children.'
'So, I assume we’re not taking them. If not, have you thought about out who's going to look after them?'
'Why would I do that, not my area of expertise?'
'No, I don’t suppose it is.'
'So what is your area of expertise?'
'I’m your Great Guy.'
'So if you’re my great guy, why didn’t you think about organising the children?'
'Because a great guy doesn’t do that, he just comes up with amazing things for his partner showing how incredible he is at being a great guy; does that make sense?'
'Oh yes, that makes sense, you’re sleeping on the couch tonight.'
'Hey! I don’t understand. I tried to do something romantic for you.'
'No, you tried to do something to make you look good.'
'Well, my looking good is a side effect of the main aim, which was to make you happy.'
'You didn’t even think about little ‘New Love’ and ‘First Love’, how do you think they’ll feel if they find out their dad didn’t even consider them.'
'They didn’t even cross my mind!'
'There’s the problem.'
'I’m sorry I’ll try harder.'
'I know, but now change out of your Great Guy costume and let’s get back to normal. Next time you want to arrange a treat, do it when you’re not in superhero mode, you’re my real Great Guy then.'
'Am I still sleeping on the couch?'
'We’ll see!'
