I went for a drive
I parked by the lake
I sat and wondered about my mistake

I hoped it was not to late

I sat and wonder what was my mistake?
Did I love you to intensely ,?
Was my love to hard to take?
Is my love to strong for heaven sake

To instance or to strong
just what went wrong
could you just tell me please
do I have to beg on my knees
to hear you say you love me and it was just a bad day

I fear hear you I will not
and soon you will have forgot
all the feeling of love
sent to you from heaven above
your life has been hard
yes and sometimes cruel
but do not run from love my mary-lou
