A western Duke, a debonair Bat,
brave, courageous and bold,
riding for justice and the law
on screens small and large.
Tod and Buzz, gettin' their kicks on 66
and there's the sign of the guy with the blue bow tie,
should the 'vette need an oil change.

Spacemen and starlets,
stately old sportsmen always buying Chesterfields.
Jan and Dean and Mitchum,
the Beach Boys and bootleggers,
Dead man's curve and the Thunder Road,
won't come back from either place.
Natalie Wood trying to give the rebel a cause.
The moon was glowing on a quiet Kansas picnic
when Holden showed up.

Squealing tires, a blazing gun,
listen to 'LS each Sunday,
it comes on like...
have a Coke and a smile
in a friendly place on the Bonpas,
Zing! What a feeling.
They're all gone now, but in our dreams and memories,
we can stop and reminisce while filling up at the Speedway pump.
