A Love From Afar

Chapter 1: The Prologue

Protagonist Sarah lives in New York City with her best friend, Isabelle. They bake cookies together in a business that they call "Bake N Take" They guarantee all their cookies will be baked in 20 minutes, along with a free hot chocolate drink, otherwise it's free. Their business was incredibly successful. "Ah, Izzy, people are loving these new sugar chocolate cookies you made." "Well, I'm not trying to show off. I just wanted to bake something other than chocolate chip cookies all the time." "Cone on. How do you do it?" said, Sarah. "It's easy. I drizzle dark chocolate syrup on sugar cookies with a few milk chocolate chocolate chips for flavour." "That's amazing!", said Sarah. Instantly, she gets a phone call from someone. "Hello?" The voice was her boyfriend. "Hey, babe. I can't make it to NYC today. Boss wants me here for a week." said Kevin, her boyfriend. "A week?!", Sarah said in shock. She thought he'd be there in 4 hours. " I'm so sorry, babe. Got to go, love you." So much was rushing to Sarah's head. "What's wrong?", asked Isabelle. " Kevin can't make it here to NYC for another week. "A week?! That's crazy!" said Isabelle. From behind, a kind voice asks them something. "Excuse me, madams." "You forgot about my hot chocolate." In embarrassment, they say "I'm so sorry! Please don't be mad and sue us. It'll be late, since we broke our promise, but it'll be a free drink now!" He then says, "No, it's fine. Ir's just one drink. I can still pay for it. In fact...", he says while holding a 20$ in his hand. "... I will tip you for your hard work everyday." Surprised, but grateful, the girls say, "Thank you so much. Here's your hot chocolate, that'll be $5." He then pays them, and walks out with a nice smile on his face. "He is so cute!", says Isabelle, who is still single. " Izzy, do you already have a crush on this guy?" Izzy blushes...
