It always looked so easy
Sam Adams thought
While watching his wife
Cooking up dinner
Using her new fryer
And chopper.

Sam marveled yet again
How fortunate he had been
To have lived
So many years

With the love of his life.
Who became his wife
Six weeks after they met.

He smiled at her
As she cooked
Then the rice pot spoke up

The rice is ready it chirped
In Korean and English

And Sam marveled
Again at the wonders
Of the modern world.
