A small way to view life and my point of view when someone says they are broken inside.
Darkness, an invader of the world. Tearing apart people cracking and chipping, till nothing remains. Darkness invades our lives. Taking our joy, love, our happiness, and peace.
It chips us, tears us. Breaks us down, to nothing but cracks. We have grown accustomed to saying we’re broken. It makes me wonder, I have cracks and chips of my own, tears that feel as though they may never be sewn, but does that make me broken? No. What is broken cannot be fixed. A tear can be sewn, a chip or crack glued, and replenished. You cannot be broken until you stop holding and repairing the pieces. Life is like a mountain. It may rain, or snow, but with determination, you’re still going to climb. We fall when things get muddy, but we don’t just lay there, we stand back up. That is strength. And strength is not found in the broken. Strength is found in the chipped, torn, and cracked because no one ever reaches broken. They either give up before they get there, taking anyway both the hands that repaired and held the pieces, and the pieces altogether, or they uncover that strength and stand taller. You are not broken, you may be covered in scars and cracks, but you are not broken. You will fall on the mountainside but you never die. Darkness only lasts so long, the light drives it away. Find the light, reach for it, and spread it. The light is calling, do you have the strength to find it?
