Is there any room left in the world for God? Doctors have become miracle workers. The government has become the primary provider. Technology is the source of our future. The internet is the source of our intelligence. And we, the people, have become consumers of idolatry and folly. Is there any room left in the world for God? Churches are practically empty, while schools are packed. The latest novel or press release has become required reading. Movie stars and the rich and famous have become our idols. Joy can only be found in our jobs and our possessions. Men and women determine our future and define our hopes and dreams. Is there any room left in the world for God? I say that there is, for we still need air to breathe. I say that there is for we still have food to eat. I say that there is for no one has figured out how to put love in our hearts. I say there is a living God, for the sun still rises in the east and sets in the west. I say there is a God, for nothing new has been added without what has already been created. Is there any room left in the world for God? I believe there is! Therefore, I shall continue to live as if there is a God, die, and wait to find out later if He indeed exists! |
