A philosophy poem about service to Our Lord and inhabiting the Earth - a metaphor poem. |
A perennial sprouting, Jettisoning the excess baggage Of a healthful leaning; Screens offer a meticulous recipe Of convalescent convenience - A particular medicine For the elderly and burgeoning youth In engaging in this wholesome wiliness. Science taking a further, Salient hold on the rocky heights Of euphemism And birthday-cake-like, Paper plates. Precipitation mixed with fertilizer, The noon day sun, And prominent seeding Inculcate a demonstration Of farming one’s fallow horizons; Agriculture shall bleed indefinitely Due to nature’s coarse, Uninhabitable cloud cover; As the seasonal aspirins Of rain and regional direction Of water supplies Forego the near perfect And iffy corrals Of life-giving, habitual Treasure chests… Proof that excellence proceeds From grit and unquenchable resolve, And the edgeless fortunes Patently laid at one’s Champion-like, reserved, And un-chippy doorstep… That one may actually hold the door Open with a wedge To the speechless terror Of this terracing Of constructive and nascent, Soulful and beautiful Christmas carols… Unencumbered By the personable purviews Of an excellent dirge… |
