Amidst chaos and turmoil, love waits patient. |
As the waves thrash the rocks Under misty, sullen sky You sit upon the sandy rim And search your answers why The wind, it tousles your blonde locks With such relentless pleasure Your face is raw with windswept fury This moment, you do treasure Look now slowly to your right Who is it standing there? Looking calmly at the sea Of all, she’s unaware Her long red mane dances with glee Arms crossed, brow pursed in thought She stands now, in stoic form Amongst enclave of rock Her cape of tweed, tossed with wind The sound, like flapping wings Eyes fixed upon spellbinding flow Absorbing all it brings She shifts gaze slowly to the left And finds you perched on sand Her eyes light up at your fair face She beckons you by hand A smile then does grace her face It’s you she came to see You’ve not yet met, yet know her still Her trek has been to thee Rise slowly from your hollowed seat Shake every grain to ground You wonder if it’s you she calls Yet no one else around From nowhere, does the thunder rise The tempest rears it’s head Elysian drops sprinkle your face Anoint the paths you’ll tread Look up now, as she glides near Toward you does she come A rose in hand, so deeply red The sky above still hums As she nears, you too approach You look into her eyes All forty shades of green live there Yours gleam like sapphire skies At last she’s here, the journey made You reach to take her hand She slowly fades, withers from sight Dissolves into the sand O Sweet Bliss! You dare be cruel! To cause the fallen tear! Yet, comfort love, to you it says For yes, your love was here She came to you, to touch your soul Remind by thunder stern She awaits in far off place And dreams of your return To hold and kiss and love you pure Is what she sees in store And when together one day soon Tears cease forevermore. |
