Hello fellow writers :) My name is Shirley and I live in England, so English spellings... I've just arrived here on this site(December 2025), so I'm finding it all a bit confusing at the moment. I have been editing my final draft for Chalk Dust & Broomsticks, in readiness for publication, but before I do that, I am looking for some comments to see where my market will be. I am posting chapter 1 here now and hope that it meets with your approval. Please tell me what you like about this first chapter and also what you don't like, if anything, LOL. I would also like to know where you think the story is going next.
