After a brief sojourn at CMU ('brief' = 5 years, 'sojourn' = no useful degree was completed), Kip transferred to ASU where he received a degree in Bio-Engineering. Piqued by the thought of 8 more years of college, Kip entered grad school at Michigan. Kip works on Brain-Machine Interfaces. Imagine the start of the technology from 'The Matrix', but with an infinitely lower chance of meeting hot women in tight leather. Despite his 20 years of schooling, Kip is considering becoming a writer.
