The characterization of Illona (who also calls herself Judith). By far one of the most seductive and intriguing characters I've read in a great while. Is she a victim...or the personification of great evil?

The tortures poor Teddy goes through at the hands of his brothers. Terrible, but necessary to the story.

Chilled! I looked over my shoulder a couple of times while reading. I was also completely enthralled by Illona/Judith. She was extraordinary.
