This is a book about the story of a direct sales/party sales (like Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Avon, etc.) woman and how she came to be in multilevel marketing and how she became successful. (She sold candles and home decor, but her information and advice works across nearly all direct sales opportunities.) A lot of it is just her story, but there are also some useful things you can do for yourself. She also includes a list of 26 books, 6 organizations, and 26 websites she recommends to help people just getting into direct sales. This book is fairly short--only 104 pages.

that she linked the times in the book. For example, she talked about the music or politics that were popular during that time and how it may have related to her life and/or business choices.

that there weren't more direct suggestions. There is good information in here and there are some direct suggestions, but I have a brain injury from Iraq, so I kind of need it spelled out for me.

writes simply, but entertainingly. I almost never had to go back and reread a paragraph because I didn't understand. I really appreciate that!

it was easy to understand and entertaining. There are some good nuggets in here, but I don't think this is the end all, be all book on MLM sales. Then again, she has a 2nd book so maybe that one goes into more details.
