I am an increasingly infrequent writer, but someday when the craziness of my life settles into something somewhat more predictable, I'll hopefully still be capable enough to write about how crazy--or at least ironic--my life has been. I stubbornly remain an optimist, however, and things in many aspects of my life are looking up... but hopefully I still have a lot of issues to work out... the strongest motivator with which I am familiar (in my limited experience) for continuing to write! |
I am a short-attention, sporadic but passionate writer--yet still struggling to find meaning in both poetry and passion. |
I hope the writing style I achieve is conversational. Relatable. But, I hope as well, it's worth taking the time to read. |
Running, swimming, triathlons, karaoke, reading and writing. Movies, puzzles, song and movie trivia. |

Realistic fiction with some suspense or action, contemplative and/or psychologically/emotionally rich fiction, scifi, fantasy |
ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL, SING YOU HOME, THE HELP, THE COLOR PURPLE, STAYING FAT FOR SARAH BYRNES, and a number of others I can't recall right now. |
James Herriot, Jodi Picoult, and Chris Crutcher for starters. |
Robert Frost, Robert Browning. I should read more poetry, but these poets have written some of my favorite lines and/or phrases. |
What? Just one? OK, here's a pretty good one, by Robert Louis Stevenson: “The difficulty of literature is not to write, but to write what you mean.” |
Journey, Pat Benatar, Michael Buble, George Michael, and so much more. |
BICENTENNIAL MAN, MY SISTER'S KEEPER, ZWARTBOEK (BLACK BOOK), and many others. |
I'm not sure I have any favorite shows at this time. A not-so-recent favorite is WEST WING. I also used to watch a lot of MONK and HOUSE. But I'm just too busy to find anything new I like lately (although I still like JEOPARDY & WHEEL OF FORTUNE!) |
