I have progressed my story a little, in addition to the character not having magic, he also does not have a destiny, the gods cannot see him because of this. In short he has literal free will. Not having a destiny makes people avoid him unconsciously because his life is not intertwined with anyone else's. In short he is a monkey wrench in the grand tapestry.
So I have been busy on paper looking for an idea to get excited about. I am going to write a story about a world filled with magic with the main character being the only one without it. The first child to be born without magic in a hundred years. If I deem it good enough I will post it
GRRRRRR....I hate Grammarly right now, such a useful tool, but I must have rewritten a sentence four times now.....Damn passive voice misuse

Who decided that you can't use passive voice? If it expresses what you want to say with the words you choose to use, why does a machine - a lifeless thing - get to decide whether you are right or wrong?
Thanks, you both are right. While the program is annoying sometimes, it definitely helps keep your writing clear and makes you think about sentence structure
