Choosing your own adventure It's been like, pff what, a year? and some change, since writing something decent; and well over 5 years since I stopped working on my authorship... This was a harsh road to take, which broke me, not just because of the absence of doing what you love, but how difficult and more-so demanding my life has become. That's why only "sub-par" titles were released (here), in short burst whenever possible. Thing is that most of it, well the ones that were created more recently (of which are almost none at this point, apart from a short poem and scribbles here and there of names, dialogues and short scenes), will never come out of the closet again or even see the daylight as a matter of fact, as I've come to terms with the reality of publishing and all that surrounds it; but that's another story, for another time. What matters, despite all this and the reason why I'm back (after my long absence), that sometimes things do happen in the way we least expect, and urge us to create something; even though we've no time for it. This isn't much, the link below, as writing cannot end at the five minute mark, and spending precious lunch-breaks to write is not something that is close to my liking, but the idea of practicing my waning craft must come first, no matter what. That's when the idea of making a simple choose-read-your-own-adventure came to be, purely focusing on the non-traditional aspect of storytelling: An elusive, simple adventure with non-typical writing where subtext is a strong driving-force, and the interpretation is up to the reader; well mostly. This project probably will never be finished, and only meant to release some pressure. In case someone stumbles upon this note and for some reason still interested in giving it a go (5-10 min read? not sure, have yet to count), you'll find it over yonder: https://theaaronstory.itch.io/basic-cyoa After all these years, and countless of projects, still not a fan of promoting any of my creations. What am I promoting even? What? Nothing really, just white words on a dark background, for an audience that is not my own. The world is far too big to see... |
Haven't written anything in months . . .
|
Just wrote a short poem about words. 84 characters.
|
Just added chapter 8. to the collection! We still don't know why magic exists, or why nobody knows of it . . . But the story continues, as Shania struggles to keep up with Opa (the enchanted owl) and their relentless demands. Shania knows that there's more to what this city can offer, and they aren't shy to explore it either. For the better, or worse; you decide!

H'okkay! Just finished writing chapter seven for this spiritual journey! (As in it's getting more into the realms of magic! Finally, haha!)
|
Just posted the 6th chapter of my short, fantasy-adventure story!
|
Added chapter 5 to my short story adventure. Having so-o much fun, its insane.
|
Just finished with the 4th chapter. The mystery deepens . . . and gets a little bit scary!
|
Add a new (3rd) chapter to this story collection:

Been in the mood for the past two days to write something rare (to me at least), so I decided to come up with one flash fiction and a short story (which might be expanded later on, as I did today) on my Twitter page. The style is First Person POV Present. Hopefully I can keep it that way! Haha. Those sneaky past and future tenses really want to get in on the action. The temptation is real.
Have a nice weekend. |
H'okay. Hi everyone, hope y'all doing fine and are safe! So it's been a while since I've posted anything meaningful on this website. Was busy trying to forge a better future for myself, and my account got full as well (membership ended and overloaded my portfolio). So I cleaned out my porch, as there were some pretty old pieces in there as well. Now, I finally got to the point where I could post something: Namely three of my latest flash fictions (one short story, and two script samples). All three were written for specific job applications (video game industry), to increase my chances of finally becoming a professional writer. Sadly, that didn't happened as of yet. Would be really-nice tho, even if it was the smallest of jobs, so I'd finally have some form of security in my life. 'Cos that would be a first, haha! Living the life of the broken, in debt (writer) is no fun. Anyways, all three are written and edited in one go (few hours tops, out of sheer inspiration, not because it was a requirement, just was in the mood to do so), so don't expect 100 pages of excellence; just a minute or so of casual, hopefully meaningful reading.
Take care and have a nice day! |
Hey all, so after months of work, I can finally show of my contribution to this video (did the writing & directing). Let me know what you think of it! A Dark Souls 2 altered trailer: https://youtu.be/MIWKAcavsMI |
Outstanding Marcell. |
Hi y'all, You won't believe what happened to me yesterday! So I had this idea of writing a quick script for a video, during my lunch break, which then ended up on my Twitter. Then a fellow saw it, and collabed with me to create this magnificent version: [Embed For Use By Upgraded+] I was extremely stoked, to say the least! What do you think? |
Hey folks! I've wrote this just a moment ago:
It's a spiritual-monologue, depicting the future of humanity. It was made in order to provide some backstory for a fantasy knife! |
