I like this. It's interesting. It encompasses so many different ideas in just one paragraph, which is really quite amazing. The solitude of the first humans; religions concocted to help explain existence, but was it out of ignorance?; human's superiority over unintelligent nature. And then the whole aspect of life outside of Earth. Extraterrestrial intelligence. We are not alone, this is for sure. There's things out there. Maybe just orbiting masses of helium dust and gaseous balls, but that's what we have to accompany us in this vast universe... Thanks for sharing this. It's nice to see some real educated insight :)

Review of Alone Now  Open in new Window.

It seems this piece has about four different things going on, which is cool...and different. I don't know if this is a poem per se, but I like it. I'm not sure what it means with the whole "always dreaming" idea, but it's something to contemplate. And I like contemplating. I really related and appreciated the last line because I can apply it to my life in many ways. This writing of yours has kept me intrigued and I will remember it. Thanks for sharing :)

Review of LIVING FOR MYSELF  Open in new Window.

This is an excellent poem showing growth and wisdom on so many levels. It may be easy to say, but it's exponentially harder to play out in real life especially when you feel judged by others, which is when you want to start satisfying everyone despite yourself. I did feel like some of the wording was forced to fit the format of the poem, which is why I usually don't advocate much structure in poems. Sometimes it disrupts the flow and distracts from the meaning. However, I appreciate what you had to say :)

In the last line, "your" should be "you're." I like the choppiness of this poem. It's not choppy, exactly... it's just quick thoughts, or something. Sounds good, whatever you wanna call it! :)

I like the repetitive words and the format; it adds to its flow. Excellent writing.

Oh my god, someone who loves the stars as much as I do!!!! I'm so excited! I love this poem. Seriously. It's amazing and so true. I'm like...clinically obsessed with anything to do with space, which is why I clicked on this piece in the first place. But I just love it. It flows wonderfully and even rhymes! Excellent. Just excellent.

Review of A Self  Open in new Window.

The only thing I have to say is I like how there's no punctuation or capitalized letters because I do that a lot too. I think it makes it flow better and makes it seem like thoughts instead of a constructed poem. Well done. I really like this. Made me think.

First of all, can I just say that "phantasmagorical" is one of my favorite words, yet I hardly see it anywhere! So, honestly, that one word is what hooked me to read the rest of it. I loved this. It's mysterious...kinda ambiguous, but at the same time, completely straightforward, no-bulls***. It's interesting. I know "interesting" is a word used to describe mostly ordinary things, but I'm using it in the highest sense of its meaning. I was really hanging on to every word you wrote. I loved it. I absolutely loved it.

Review of To a Dear Friend  Open in new Window.

Inspiring. Hopeful. Starts out a little depressing and seems like it'll be another poem about loneliness. But it's not. It's about moving on despite road bumps. I really enjoyed it. Keep freakin' writing, please!!

One word to describe this: peaceful. It's open to interpretation, but you can tell each line has an intended meaning from the author. The imagery is great. A few grammar mistakes, bt who cares...it's poetry! I thought it was an impressive poem. thanks for sharing

I think all I can say is: I know... I care. I've struggled with this s*** for four years. It's not glamorous. But you're absolutely correct: They don't know. Most people, I've found, do care though. It's a scary thing. You may not think it is, but it escalates. Quickly. I love this poem. It has a lot of voice. It's kind of a "f*** you" voice and it's prominent, strong. It gets the reader's attention. That's the goal of every author, right? At least to some extent anyway.
