Wow, very well written. I was transported in time back to World War I. So many men lost. Such a tragedy. I don't know if you've been published, but that is clearly one that could be turned into a novel about the war.
If there were any grammar errors I didn't catch them. Which means they were not noticeable. Please keep writing. Full five stars.

A short but sweet write for the one that is special to you. I loved the "I'll catch you if you ever should fall." As I have Parkinson's, I hope to someday have a gentleman say that to me. My personal preference is to see more rhyme in poetry, but that is just my opinion. I do appreciate that you have a good sense of rhythm though.

Are these to be strictly writing goals?

Pen at least 2 lyrical poems. Watch out for the use of cliches and watch out for forced rhymes.

According to the rules of grammar I was taught in high school 20 years ago I believe Ross was correct in both occasions.

So sorry to hear of the loss of you mother. Loss like that can be very difficult to cope with. I am glad that you are able to use poetry as a catharsis.

It will be Dec 2016 was 9 years since we lost my grandmother and her sister-in-law within 24 hours of each other. Grandma is responsible for my love of poetry. When I was a child she would recite Robert Louis Stevenson to me. I don't know that she ever wrote any, but I know she enjoyed reading it.
I remember her everyday, as I live where she used to. A couple years before she passed, I gave her a white hyacinth. She planted near the door and it still blooms every spring. I noticed it has bud on it yesterday. Can't wait for it to open. Makes me feel like I am still connected to her somehow.
